Could you help us at this year’s Dunster by Candlelight event?
As you are probably aware, bucket collections for St Margaret’s Hospice have been made at the event since 1986 and to date a total of over £180,00 has been received by the charity to support their vital work.
This year we have two licences to collect: one is for St. Margaret’s Hospice, as usual, and the other is to ‘Keep the Candles Burning’, to collect contributions towards the ever-increasing costs of putting on this wonderful event. We are looking for people who a prepared to give some of their time on either evening to help with the collecting. We are proposing 2-hour time slots so you will still have time to enjoy the rest of the evening, having made a valuable contribution to both causes.
How will it work?

- The Hospice buckets will be blue, and they will be operating in The High Street, Church Street, West Street and around the entertainers through the village.
- The Candlelight buckets will be yellow, and they will be at the entrance to Candlelight on the Steep, which leads up from the car park where the buses will drop off..

We also need programme sellers for the early part of each evening. Please indicate on the form if you would be happy to do that if the time slots for the bucket collecting are all allocated.
